A train derailed because of a landslip, and many reports of localized flooding.<\/p>\n<p>We hoped none of the roads we&#8217;d be travelling to get to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catton-hall.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Catton Old Hall<\/a> would be submerged under flood waters.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: 0;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/embed?pb=!1m27!1m12!1m3!1d1248664.6491065281!2d-1.0986041489450036!3d52.319665272567335!2m3!1f0!2f0!3f0!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!4m12!3e0!4m4!1s0x0%3A0x28faae77f1c9dfe8!3m2!1d52.069541!2d-1.261045!4m5!1s0x47d9e23baed2eaff%3A0x5b68659aab5d619f!2sCatton+Old+Hall%2C+Lodge+Lane%2C+Norwich%2C+United+Kingdom!3m2!1d52.666812099999994!2d1.3039147!5e0!3m2!1sen!2sca!4v1475757698406\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>About 4:00 pm, we arrived at our destination without encountering floods. The downside to driving in the rain is it makes you have to go to the bathroom a lot more.<\/p>\n<p>Stopping at services to use the bathrooms, the ones in the petrol station\/convenience store were out of order. However, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.littlechef.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Little Chef<\/a> was located in the same complex. Their toilets worked but a huge sign on the door stated they were for restaurant customers only. I connected with my phone and it dropped out seconds later. Neither my laptop nor iPad could connect at all. Frustrating to say the least.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.woodmannorwich.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Woodman Pub<\/a> opened for supper at 6:00 pm. We&#8217;d eaten there on a previous trip to this area. The food was good then so we assumed it would be this time. Being a Friday night, we should have booked a table.<\/p>\n<p>When we walked in the door, one of the barmen informed us it would be 7:30-8:00 before our food was served, but we were more than welcome to pick a table and have a drink.<\/p>\n<p>While we sipped our first beer, we perused the menus and decided what we&#8217;d like for supper. They took our order, again telling us it could be a long wait. At least now, our meals were in the queue. And we received them long before the estimated time!<\/p>\n<p>After a delicious meal (every bit as good, if not better than the first time we&#8217;d eaten here), we walked back to Catton Old Hall. It should be fun.
